Host Dr. Paul Reeves, Karl Ziomek and Mayor Rick Sollars are joined by Taylor resident Jim Taylor, the founder and organizer of the annual Heritage Park Cleanup Day.

The 2017 cleanup, the fourth annual, is scheduled for 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, April 22.

The cleanup day attracts more than 200 volunteers each year to Heritage Park. Everyone patrols the facility and collects debris. During the initial outing in 2014, nearly 270 volunteers collected entire trash out of the park to fill many, many full truckloads.

Since the event started, the park has improved in leaps and bounds.
